I had been messing with AVMixer pro, just the trial version mind you. It will take a live video input too which is cool. Anyone know of any reasonable but cheap vj programs for mac?

Cell is very cool and runs nicely on a moderate machine, I really don't like how much of the visual software out there looks absolutely awful ... tons of features, but god awful interfaces.

Hate to say it but IF you already have an iPad ... and ignoring the audio mixing aspect, Algoriddim's Vjay for $20 does one hell of a lot for everyday club visuals mixing, including live feeds (from the iPad's camera).

Lets face it .. in most cases your VJ show is based on well timed transitioning between pre-rendered clips or live input anyhow.

Pity it doesn't have text over video (yet)

If someone had told me that a touchscreen 720p video mixer with effects and live streaming and recording built in would be available as an all-in-one tablet size package for $500 in 2005 I would have laughed so freaking hard.

Nope haven't tried it yet (no iPad) - the app only came out last week anyhow.

Its doesn't have too many effects but for mixing between clips and integrating some live cam stuff I think it would work a treat, no need to go nuts on effects anyhow IMHO.

The audio mixing aspect is a bit of a gimmick, but for visuals only i'd give it a go.
