I love it that most people here are engineers, it must be something in out makeup!

Me? I'm an Aircraft Avionics Engineer in the Royal Air Force (UK Military). My job prevents me from being a full time DJ as I'm away a lot but most bases have their own nightclub which I resident at as long as I'm posted there!

And even though I'm a vinyl / DVS kinda DJ, controllers have let me take my hobby with me when I go away... always handy for knocking out a quick mix!

Funny I started this thread What is your day job (if any), well, I no longer have a job so nothing.

Im kinda hustling around to get money doing a bit of everything here and there which barely manages to pay for everything, but hey, this aint the first time Im in this position and from the looks of things and how fucked up they are I doubt it wont be the last.

What dont kill you makes you stronger I guess.

Still I managed to save enough money since October 2010 to get an S4 but still Im like $150 away from the grand total I just pray to whatever deity my soul is worth a damn that no emergency happens that needs money to resolve...

I recently. Well, a year ago decided to go back to college and finish my degree. So for now im doing that full time.

However, I've been a multi platform technician and hardware compatibility specialist in the computer industry as well as the video game industry most of my life. Since I was 18 anyway. up to about the age of 25, I also grew up as a promoter, dj, and event producer in the los angeles and orange county area.

What I do personally is support these functions by confirming some of the deals, settling, and reconciling for PnL (profit and loss). It's an extremely encompassing job, and most people who I work with seem to have made this their life (meaning they eat, sleep, and breathe this stuff).

I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance, and I'm writing my CFA (certifies financial anylyst designation) exam in December.

I say I live a double life because when I go home, I'm a DJ. I turn off work. And I live with my girlfriend, so it makes being a DJ even harder (because we have chores to do, meals to eat, shows to watch, you know, bf/gf stuff). As hard as it is, I LOVE IT. This is my life, and I'm proud to say in full confidence, that I am a DJ.

Just a little fun fact: I am a House DJ, from Toronto Canada, and last August, I opened for Snoop Dogg in Muskoka, Ontario.
