    Default VCI-300 Problem

    Hello,

I have had my VCI-300 for a while now and it's been working great, without any problems.

But since a couple days, the right jogwheel doesn't work. There's really no reason to explain the sudden malfunction of it..

When I plug the VCI in, both platters are blue, as usual. But at soon as I touch the right one one, it stays red.

    So I tried this:

But I couldn't really tighten the 3 bolts inside, and even though I did a bit, it didn't fix the problem.

Then I tried to Increase\Decrease the Touch Sensor Level on the back. Still not working.

Here's a short video I made to make it clearer.

As you can see, when I remove the right platter, it works perfectly when touching the gold platter inside, which is a bit weird..

So I was wondering if anyone had a solution for this.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I had a similar problem with my first vci 300. There was an issue with some earlier models.

Best thing to do is to send it back for replacement.

Mine wasnt one of the serials listed but i still had it exchanged.
