Soundcloud just froze my mixtape?

thats funny that SC is blocking people content. I was looking for a track lastnite, and random people has the full song and it was title - artist name with avail download for free on a popular track...way to drop the ball SC!

This thread popped up right after SC was shut down for maintenance so I'm betting they installed some software that's just crawling the servers looking for stuff. There time will come I'm sure.

Thats why i use Mixcloud for my mixes and upload my setlist! Im going to slowly switch my downloadable mixes to podomatic.

That's in the UK. Isn't the copyright law different in the US?

Some of them are, but I think it matters more where the servers are, since they're the ones making the stuff available to the unwashed masses.

I just made a profile so that I could reply to this thread, as I am having similar issues with soundcloud.
A mix of mine was taken down due to a copyright claim from Ultra records.

My question is, the mix was almost an hour long, so it is taking up a lot of space on my profile, but since it is frozen, no one can see it. Honestly, it was one of my older mixes, so I really wouldn't care if I took it down, but at this point in time, I can't even find the track to delete it from my profile to free up space. Has anyone been able to do this? And how did you go about deleting it?

google it. i found some forum/thread where the guy who sent me the email saying it was getting taken down erased it for me (you could email him back too).

im pretty sure if you dig around in the settings a bit on the dashboard you can see hidden tracks.

What are basically the rules that apply. What if Like I have a shit ton of DJ premier instrumentals, is it alright if I put lyrics over it as long as I'm not making a profit to it?

I put a mixtape on soundcloud last night labeled Funky Jazz Breaks vol 4. with no track list. It was pulled in less than 1 min. So it has to be computer analyzed somehow?

It's a mixtape of straight breaks & scratching. No words. Who knows who invented these breaks? Rap was invented using breaks. Seems strange to me?
