Default Laptop casing mod - Spectrum Analyzer/EQ?

You remember those t-shirts that have that sort of spectrum analyzer/eq built into them? Like these:

Would it be possible/feasible to build this into the back panel of the monitor on a laptop? This would look pretty cool I'd think for a DJ booth. Just a thought.

Couldn't you just cut it out of the tee and attach it to the monitor?
I used to link music in my signature but nowadays I don't.

You could just cut it out, but I was thinking something more elegant (and something with maybe a better/different eq). I was also wondering if it could be powered from the computer - maybe from the leads for the apple logo, or other similar backlight (I've seen one on an acer computer as well).
