At NAMM Rane announced that the company would launch two new mixers this year, one of which is a revival of the highly sought after TTM 57 mixer. The mixer follows up one of best-selling units of the digital DJing era. Recently Serato met up with the electric trap band, Keys 'N Krates who put the mixer to the test. Watch the performance below and see the potential of the TTM 57 MKII - as well as their ingenious live band style performance.
Last year at NAMM, Roland was showing their then-secret AIRA lineup in a secret hotel suite - but this year their new gear is right out in the open. The MX-1 is part mixer, part soundcard, and part step sequence effector. After the jump, learn why this might be a critical new tool for DJs and producers alike.

With a brand new gold-topped Maschine MkII to match his golden Technics 1200s, Shiftee most certainly will account for a fair amount of holiday gear lust for DJs […]

Today, Pioneer has announced that the hardware’s getting an upgrade to a second edition – […]
With the launch of the Kontrol Z2 this morning, Native Instruments released a video with DJTT’s founder Ean Golden performing an original song with vocals from Maceo Plex on two F1s and a Z2. Check out the video plus an interview with Ean about the release after the break.
Earlier this year at NAMM, Rane announced they were phasing out their popular TTM 56/57 line and replacing it with the Sixty-One and Sixty-Two mixers. We called up our friend Charles at Thud Rumble (Q-Bert’s crew) to see if the new 62 series is destined to become another club standard like the 57. Check out […]
Okay, so we know loud music’s cool. Not too loud, of course – there’s no point in putting your eardrums into retirement before your dancing shoes – but how is ‘loud’ actually defined? And is ‘loud’ the only thing we should be concentrating on?
