DJing has advanced from a two deck affair to reasonably incorporating four decks in more advanced sets, but there hasn't been a DJ software that easily allows DJs to venture beyond "simple" four deck mixing. For the DJs looking to mix on eight decks (with full Stem file support) the time has come with Mixed in Key's new DJ software, Flow 8 Deck.
In the last few years, we've seen a renewed interest from manufacturers in making their own version of one of the most iconic pieces of DJ gear, the turntable. Numark's new TT250USB is Numark's new turntable, and just like the Pioneer PLX-1000 table, it's designed to look very similar to the classic Technics SL-1200. Read on for photos and details.
Numark is announcing several new products at NAMM including follow ups to their flagship NS7 controller and affordable Mixtrack controllers. The NS7 III is the successor to the “best controller ever built”, the NS7 II. Numark has managed to elegantly add 3 screens to the NS7 III without compromising on the size or features. There's some interesting movement on the DVS pricing front - mirroring a price drop on Traktor Kontrol Z2 that we saw in February, Native Instruments has resurrected the 25% off sale for all of December. The inMusic group has expanded dramatically – perhaps best indicated by the entire block of products prominently displayed at industry conventions like the NAMM show. Today, they’re announcing the acquisition of three brands from D&M Holdings – Denon Professional, Denon DJ, and Marantz Professional. This doesn’t mean that they’re outright purchasing Denon, as the D&M […]
What if you didn't have to bring your laptop to the gig, just your controller? Sure, we've had a few real and concept offerings over the last few years, including Stanton's SCS.4DJ (released but never quite got the user interface/software dialed), my own Kontrol S4 MK3 mockup, a few others - but today we got wind of a few controllers that could make the concept a reality.
