DJing and controllerism routines have the same issue that a lot of other digital media have online: getting heard amongst way too much noise. For a fun Friday article we thought it would be great to round up some of the most under-appreciated (low in views, high in talent) routines that we've seen on YouTube recently. Watch all our favorites in this article.
Recently we've been soliciting community members to help us build amazing playable performance sound packs designed especially for the Midi Fighters. One of our favorite YouTube performers Tim Murray agreed to build a wild pack in Ableton Live that worked for the combination of a Twister and 3D together. Watch the resulting performance video he shot to show it off below, and read on to find out how to download the soundpack for free.
Mad Zach invites us into his Berlin studio and shows how he’s been using the Midi Fighter Twister in a production workflow with Ableton Live. Beyond the Twister just being a formidable companion for in-studio work, Zach also shows off how its sequencer can be used in a live performance setting. Watch to the end of the video for a spectacular performance using Twister, Ableton, and four Moogerfoogers.

Instead of a traditional 2-track release onto Beatport, we’re publishing the entire Ableton project file, a fully interactive sound pack and a tutorial on how to play the song using grid controllers. It’s something new […]

From the video description: All sounds in my custom soundpack were sampled from the stems of the original song. It contains MIDI modifiers, […]
A lot of our readers have been asking about the status of the DJTT soundpacks and newsletters – and we’ve got great news. Not only will we resume sending out super-regular soundpacks to subscribers on our newsletter, but we’ve also got Rick Fresco (perhaps better known as Riccardo Betti, winner of the DJTT MF3D contest […]
When designing the Midi Fighter 3D, we discovered the advanced multi dimensional control really shines in a diverse performance environment like Ableton Live. One of our employees, Mad Zach, developed a unique template for Ableton and the 3D that brings out the expression through powerful drum racks packed with great drums and synths. While designed […]
