We got word of a new software that will be announced shortly called “The One”. It’s a modular DJ software that is meant to be entirely customizable. I have no idea what company is behind it, but there are some interesting features they are claiming to support. Get on the early beta here. Full video after the break.
ok peeeeeeeeeeeeeees im eslam elmasry
Has anyone actually been tapped as a beta tester? I gotta wonder about the credibility of this software as the website is nothing more than a “give us your contact information (which is a valuable commodity these days) & we’ll get back to you” page.
Another problem I have with their claims is the fact that the teaser vid says (very clearly) “no latency”, while their facebook page says that the scratch functionality functions with “minimal latency”. No latency?!?!?! Really?!?!?!? Am I totally mistaken or is “no latency” an electronic impossibility?
Not sure this So called The One New modular DJ software is Even Real.I entered my E-Mail address like 4 weeks ago and All i get is like 25 Spam mails from them a day.My Virus Scanner Blocks them,I’m afraid to click on the Blocked Links. Not to mention,I have spent countless hours Searching the INTERNET for any info about this so-called NEW DJ Software Ware and the ONLY links I get are Here. You Do The Math. If you Are A Beta Tester, then lets hear about this software…
if they get it to a concrete version …. it shall be a game changer …. turntable/cdj support is gonna be the deal breaker i think
this looks insane i can’t wait! can anyone with the beta files host it some where so we can all have a go?

looks like final cut for djing, i dig.
it seems very likely that this is a sub brand from Ableton for DJ’s.
When it shows Not just Another the ‘A’ in the word Another is highlighted.
why would ableton make a sub brand the only just released the bridge for serato?
Yes, customization is a BIG deal.
Yes, editing your tracks on the fly is a big deal to me.Yes, using whatever MIDI mixer I want is important to me.
Yes, DVS support is necessary.
I wonder if youre able to set the waveforms verticaly side by side?
I wonder if it will be Serato Playlists and library interchangeable/compatible.
@Tobami , in the video it does briefly mention , No Latency, Stability, etc. I am like you though, I need to wait and see what this can do?
Anyone got into beta testing?
notice that the logo as a very Abletonish look… maybe a sub-brand for DJ market?
50 € that is an applicazione from Adobe 🙂
def Stanton.
If you can do that timeline editing whilst the track is playing to arrange beats/ accapella’s and cue in advance, that would be a mind blowing revolution. I’ll keep my eye on this
I sent my request so hopefully I GET A TRY ON ITS BETA VERSION, I am not either traktor or serato, I use some ableton but my main software is TORQ 2.0 which does an ecxellent job at it and wouldn’t change it unless this would really prove its worth it to use, torq 2.0 is super complete, anyways hope to try it and let you all know my 2 cents on this one… Mapping will be a huge thing… hopefully they make it easy as torq… click and assign…
If this works well with vci 400, I know what I’ll be using.
with dvs support it looks like I’m in.

FUCK YEAH!!!That shit looks dope! Tobamai STFU. Its called marketing. And it states BETA!!! Of course no legit dj is gonna buy it if its a piece of shit. You wrote that long ass story to state the obvious : /
Sounds like this new DJ
tool will be cool! Can’t wait for using its beta version! Thanks for allocating
link of this beta version. I’ll allocate the performance experience here.
If I can customized the controller without the complexity of Traktor, I would definitely make the switch! Unlimited decks, zero latency, could this be a dream! This is a window software, they are developing core audio version.
Looks like it might get me out of using ableton if its really as customizable as it looks. being customizable means reflecting the controller you are using better, of course it’s all going to depend on the usability at the end of the say and the possibilities e.g. can you use VST’s, how good is the timestretch engine. APC is great for Ableton (which is what i’m using) but IMHO sucks for Traktor, having mapped / remapped and just never happy with how things are reflected on the screen – controller.

Looks to me like “remixed” and Open Mixmeister software …
Exactly what I was thinking.
what i was thinking too 😉
Nice! Looks sweet! I too am ABleton but this looks (looks) like it could compete w/ Traktor!
this does look interesting. Seems like the 5 items you can add are Player, Mixer, Effects Panel, Sample Launcher and Browser. The player options are Control and Output.
The list of promised features are Unlimited Decks, Modular Mixer, No Latency, Grid Edit & Sync, Timeline Scratch, Chainable Effects, Super Zoom, EQ Crossfader, Transition Effects, Fully Customizable, and much more.
There are some are some features that may blur the lines between Ableton and Traktor, the inline editor looks awesome. I find myself wanting to cut deadspots out of tracks but too lazy to prep at home.
I understand they’re trying to hype up their new software, but the interface is probably the least important part of dj software. Think of all the things that are more important, like stability, supported file types, browser functionality, MIDI mapping, latency, timestretch artifacts, loop and roll functionality, sample or loop slots…
Lots of those you can’t convincingly show in a short promo video. And don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have over-under waveforms in traktor. But I’m not going to give up the more important things to get it. Entering the dj software market today takes more than hype in a video. You’ll need to prove all of the important things and *then* push features further.
Tobamai, whether you play or not, whether ur comment comes from observational or employed experience. I agree with you entirely. Time will tell, and i think the same as you… well said

It’s by EKS… The guys behind Otus… I did a Who Is on the domain…
You’re right I paused the vid and took a good look at some of the screenshots. They have only the Otus controllers listed.
Theres Reloop ASIO Listed as well as an output. Which sounds bad.
If this actually ends up working great, I think it can give the big three (Traktor, Serato and Ableton) some run for their money. Although I’m an Ableton-person myself and I doubt that it will have the amazing clip-setup that I focus my entire sets on, I think I’ll definately check this out. If for nothing else, than to have something more DJ-oriented rather than concert/gig-related. (As I’m not a DJ, despite being a NI-fanboy).
Logotip is saying me that it is product of Stanton.
Thats what I thought too.
Thats what I thought too. 😀
I love that editing part, it looks ideal for easy short editing, without going to ableton for it. The best part though is the customizable layout, finally no excess info on your screen. Am very curious about this software and I hope the least thing it’ll do is give NI finally a kick in the nuts and make them change stuff people have been asking for for ages (midi mapping screen, customizable layout)
I’ve asked to be into it, let’s test and see 😀
looks pretty cool, checking it….
