Usually the teaser videos start to die down the week after NAMM, but Mixvibes has wisely waited and just dropped a teaser for a new iOS app. From what we can tell so far, it looks to be focused on looping and sampling – watch the short video below and keep reading.
Mixvibes iOS App Teaser
What we can tell from the teaser of the Mixvibes iOS app is pretty limited, but it’s clear that:
- There’s a loop/sampler page (seen in the header) where loops or one-shot samples can be triggered
- You can change the tempo
- There’s likely different loop packs that this app comes with (this one is “Dubstep”)
- It’s compatible on iPhone and iPad
- There are XY effects on the app
And that’s about it. So, get excited, or not, depending on if this seems like your cup of tea. No information on release date or the price yet, but stay tuned.
It looks great!
apart from the sampling part, this looks exactly like the novation launchpad app. and if you buy the add on you can import your own sessions…. i think it’s actually a great app once you pay for the add on. but it does require you to work externally to get all your loops and samples session ready. and it IS cumbersome a bit to import them….
I wish they could update it to have some ableton integration. much like other hardware or software have.
