i have used wavelab for years but now i switched to wavosaur, which is a great free audio editor.

Steinberg WaveLab for Windows
Bias Peak for Mac
for quick & dirty CD Spin Doctor (Roxio Toast) for Mac.
Protools and toast .
I always just record my sessions as Native Mixes, and if I want to listen to them later I'll just write them to a .wav with the limiter on, and have Traktor cut the mix up automatically into tracks as well.
throw your mix into audacity and run a low level compressor and or a normaliser on it, takes a while but if you do it right can make your mix sound ultra lush. Can also use audacity to chop the mix up into sections although this is quite time consuming!

" I’m the Dude, so that’s what you call me. That or, uh His Dudeness, or uh Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing. "
Using Ableton for everything.
But that's just because I love the workflow of this app.
