For a fun Friday article, we decided to dig into the DJTT interview vaults and pull out an unreleased interview that we shot with DJ Tennis last year. He talks about social media, his label (Life And Death), and how producers should approach creating music and sending demos. Watch and enjoy inside!
DJ Tennis On Electronic Music
In the video, DJ Tennis shares some amazing advice for producers looking to release their music and send demos to labels:
There are labels that only look for certain music, and there are labels that want to look further and reinvent themselves all the time. What I am saying to people sending me music: don’t try to copy this or that artist, because it’s not gonna work. There is already [this] artist […] If you want to be one in a million, you have to do something different.
In addition to running a successful label, Life And Death, Tennis is about to put out a brand new compilation mix release on DJ Kicks – coming out on July 14th. You can get the details on the release here or preorder.

Our interview was filmed on location at the 2016 Further Future Festival – interviewed by Ean Golden, with crew Dan White and Hisham Dahud, and edited by Charles Geoghegan.
