Native Instruments and iZotope are making moves in the world of music – and they’re doing so together. Sparked by their communal aspirations to create seamless creative experiences, the two companies have joined forces to create a new technology group that looks to accelerate this goal together.
The group is backed by both EMH Partners and Francisco Partners, and led by co-presidents Mark Ethier (co-founder and CEO of iZotope) and NI CEO Constantin Koehncke. The creation of this alliance won’t affect either company’s day-to-day either. Both will continue to operate independently, with no changes to their leadership or teams. It isn’t a merger or an acquisition:
With this new group comes the aim of building a more cohesive audio ecosystem for creators. With the swath of technology, products, and knowledge that NI and iZotope have under their belts respectively, choosing to team up makes absolute sense. As Ethier shared:
“iZotope and Native Instruments share the same mission to inspire and enable creativity. We both look to make it easier for engineers, producers and musicians to realize their creative vision, and together, we will be able to break down barriers that have stood in the way of that goal for decades. With iZotope’s intelligent processing, and Native Instrument’s innovative offerings, I can’t wait to see what artists will create.”
This is quite the collaboration, and could open the door to all kinds of possibilities on Native Instruments’ hardware and integration into software like MASCHINE and Traktor. iZotope’s offerings for producers, audio engineers, and musicians alike provide much-loved plug-ins and resources all via a monthly membership (you can check those out here). Worth noting that this isn’t the first time we’ve seen iZotope integrate with other DJ software, either – Serato actually added enrolled iZotope to build their effects plug in packs a few years back.
We’re looking forward to seeing how this partnership progresses – collaboration has long been a core value of artist-focused companies. We’re hoping that with this “team up”, DJs and producers will see better tools and integration in software and hardware products offered by NI…
