Beatport, Beatsource, and Native Instruments have teamed up to bring a Beatport LINK integration to TRAKTOR’s PRO 3 software – and through it, the ability to use LINK software on TRAKTOR’s line of controllers. TRAKTOR PRO users can now utilize both Beatport and Beatsource LINK in a Public Beta mode, with an official launch coming in June.
The integration has been a long time coming, as Beatport and Native Instruments have been partners for 16 years – so this just makes sense. When discussing the partnership, Beatport’s SVP & GM Romain Pouillon explained:
“This integration with TRAKTOR PRO is a long time coming for the global DJ community, especially given the history between Native Instruments and Beatport and the big overlap in our customer bases. With this major addition to the LINK ecosystem both companies are delivering a huge win for DJs around the world and marking an important milestone in our joint mission to empower DJs. LINK features on TRAKTOR PRO
This partnership means that TRAKTOR PRO users will be able to access all of the functions that Beatport and Beatsource LINK provide, which includes the ability to:
- Access to your LINK Playlists, Curated Playlists, DJ Charts, Top Charts, and DJ Sets, as well as create unlimited TRAKTOR and smart playlists using tracks from the Beatport and Beatsource LINK libraries
- Search and play full-length streams from the Beatport and Beatsource LINK catalogs
- Add loops, cue points, and comments to tracks
- Apply TRAKTOR FX to your tracks and test them in your mixes (using your TRAKTOR library of purchased music)
- Full caching of now-playing tracks
- Utilize Offline Mode, where you can play back up to 100 tracks store in your Offline Locker (note: this isn’t available immediately, but will come with the 2nd Public Beta version)
