Serato released its most recent update to its DJ software, Serato DJ Pro 2.5.11, earlier this month – and with it, a big door that opened for DJs interested in using Pioneer DJ’s XDJ-RX3 – the 2-channel, all-in-one piece of DJ hardware – with it.
The XDJ-RX3 will now unlock Serato DJ Pro for free when plugged in. It can also show Serato’s moving waveforms on the gear’s built-in, 10.1-inch, full-color touchscreen – a cool segue from needing to look at a computer for your track prep and mixing that moves more towards a hardware-focused approach.
Give it a shot on your RX3 and let us know what you think about the integration. How well does it work? Any other features you’d like to see with the connection? Let us know in the comments below.
You can download v. 2.5.11 of Serato DJ Pro by heading here, and if you’re in the market for new hardware, we’ve got the XDJ-RX3 on the DJTT store for $1,999.
