So this is how the Midi-Fighter 3D was born…

    I'm the guy who made these things. I check this site every now and then and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.

    The blender is basically a MIDI controller hooked up to Ableton. Arduino, RFID reader and some buttons.

    The Mixmaster uses the mspinky Max/MSP object to scratch samples and the button on the mixer acts as a crossfader with a tight trim or as a transformer switch. The little fader on the top of the mixer selects the sample (it was broken when I recorded this video).

    Nice but waning with the RIAA and the rights of the song…XDD

    This Kind of "scratch" (I call it Trickyscratch) it could be done with a pitchshifter tool where potentiometer control "pitch" and actuator (like button) trigger the sample.

    The missed features are:

    Reverse sampling (you couldn't do Chirps)

    Volume cuts (you couldn't do any transform tipe but could simulate fast pseudo Chirps)

    I use my Roland Sp555 with "Voice Transform" FX for success and sounds a bit more "Tricky")

    😉

    as i understood it, this thing is a midicontroller..
How does it work?

    * Arduino for brains

    * RFID reader

    * Different kinds of fruits made out of felt

    * RFID tags inside the fruits

    * Max/MSP for converting the serial data to MIDI

    * Ableton Live for playback

    * Mad skills to pay the bills

My comment was a joke. 🙂
