In-ear headphones are typically seen as fragile and poor quality when it comes to listening to music. However, V-MODA is saying that doesn’t have to be the case. After not releasing in-ear headphones in four years, the company has announced the Zn in-ear headphones.
V-Moda Zn In-Ears
The headphones get their name from the Zinc alloy that V-MODA uses for the housing – allowing the headphones to deliver unique, balanced sound and stress free acoustics unlike typical neodymium drivers found in average, bargain-bin headphones. Inside the V-Moda Zn headphones are 8mm dynamic drivers, each containing a unique airflow system that reveals nuances that go unheard in other in-ear headphones. Along with that, the BLISS 3.0 fittings allow for four different sizes that enhance noise-isolation while enabling “vibrant” bass tones.
Furthermore, the Zn headphones are durable and apparently endure more than the average person’s share of wear and tear. The cable is Kevlar-reinforced providing 20x strength than the industry standard, while the 45 degree angled, gold-plated plug can bend over 60,ooo times. V-MODA even advertises that the Zn headphones have tested beyond military-level quality MIL-STD-105 test standards.
There will be two models of the Zn headphones out on the market by the end of this month. One model has a 3-Button SpeakEasy Remote Mic for Apple iOS or users can get the 1-Button SpeakEasy remote for Android. The 3-Button SpeakEasy Remote Mic is currently available for $180 and the Zn with 1-Button SpeakEasy Remote Mic is will be made available soon.
