Numark is announcing several new products at NAMM including follow ups to their flagship NS7 controller and affordable Mixtrack controllers. The NS7 III is the successor to the “best controller ever built”, the NS7 II. Numark has managed to elegantly add 3 screens to the NS7 III without compromising on the size or features. The Mixtrack 3 and Mixtrack Pro III builds on the Mixtrack Pro 2 and refines it with design elements from Numark NV and NS7 III. For more details, keep reading.
Numark Ns7 III
The NS7 III is Numark’s flagship four deck DJ controller designed to integrate seamlessly with Serato DJ. This controller builds on the full featured NS7 II (check out DJTT’s review) by adding three high resolution color screens (similar to what’s on the Numark NV).
The 2 deck screens can be used for fx control, loop values, and displaying track waveforms. While the centre screen can switch between the track library/browser and waveforms in a stackable view allowing for easy beat matching. Numark called the NS7 II “The Best Controller Ever Built. Period.” and the NS7 III is definitely worthy of that title. Check out the full feature breakdown:
- Premium Serato DJ controller with three high-resolution color screens, including the ability to display stackable waveforms
- Stacked parallel waveforms on central screen for simple, direct visual beat matching
- Screens provide 1:1 real time feedback of Serato DJ, letting you close or move the source laptop and focus on the music
- Dedicated track library screen with corresponding navigation controls
- 4 decks of Serato DJ software control; built-in 4-channel audio mixer
- 2 variable-torque motorized platters with high-resolution MIDI tracking
- Touch-activated knobs produce groundbreaking control of filters, EQ, and more
- Authentic vinyl records provide the feel of a professional DJ turntable

- 10 pad modes for hot cues, loops, song slicing, and sample triggering
- Dedicated 3-way touch-activated filter knob on each channel

Update*: We have learned the screens can actually be detached from the NS7 III. Numark also plans to sell the screens so that NS7 II users can add screens to their existing controller. Price is expected to be $199
We’re happy to see that Numark has gone with smaller screens, compared to their prototype from last year. The Numark NS7 III will be available later in 2015 for $1499.99 USD.
Numark Mixtrack III
The Mixtrack 3 is an all in one controller designed for Virtual DJ LE 8. The Mixtrack 3 takes some design elements from the NS7 III and NV. The controller has 16 multi function performance pads, like the previous Mixtrack 2, but the pad size is smaller and the position is shifted below the jog wheels.
While there aren’t specific dimensions yet it appears to be thinner and wider than the Mixtrack 2. A notable feature on the Mixtrack 3 is the 100mm pitch faders, which allows for fine pitch adjustments. Check out the feature breakdown:
- Dedicated Filter knobs for each channel
- Multi-function Touch Strip for dynamic FX control and Track Search
- 16 multi-function performance pads
- All-new high resolution metal jog wheels
- Multiple FX manipulation
- Includes Virtual DJ LE 8
- Includes Prime Loops remix tool kit
- Dedicated track browsing controls from your library
Numark Mixtrack 3 will be available Q1 2015 for $199.
Numark Mixtrack Pro III
The Mixtrack 3 Pro is an all in one controller designed for Serato DJ Intro. The Mixtrack Pro 3 is similar in appearance to the Mixtrack 3 but the main difference is the Pro has an integrated class compliant audio interface with 1/4″ and 1/8″ headphone connections. This means DJ’s don’t have to worry about having an external soundcard.
There are improvements over the Mixtrack Pro 2 design such as the headphone port placement (the Mixtrack Pro 2 headphone port was on the side) and metal jog wheels. Check out the feature breakdown:
- Dedicated filter knobs for each channel
- Includes Serato DJ Intro—upgrade-ready for full Serato DJ
- Includes Prime Loops remix tool kit
- Multi-function Touch Strip for dynamic FX control and Track Search
- 16 multi-function performance pads
- All-new high resolution metal jog wheels
- Dual 5-inch hyper-responsive metal platters
- Multiple FX manipulation
- Dedicated track browsing controls from your library
- Integrated class compliant audio interface with ¼’ and 1/8” headphone connections
Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 will be available Q1 2015 for $299.
