Korg recently unveiled their new Korg Volca line, a set of three grooveboxes designed to be both portable and sound lush and richly analog. In three variations, the Beats, Bass, and Keys, the Volca seems designed for both on-the-fly inspiration and studio integration, with full MIDI in and vintage style in/out. They’re also crazy small.
Today they released three new videos with the hardware designer and chief engineer behind the Vocla project, Tatsuya Takahashi, walking through the major features. Worth a few minutes to watch, especially as he shows offthe real time editing features and automation that will make these an essential piece of kit for live producers.
