Pioneer has built a reputation recently for launching brand-new colors for their products – and NAMM week is set to be no exception! The industry giant is announcing brand new limited runs of chrome-finished CDJ-2000Nexus (4,000 units), RMX-1000s (1,000 units), and DJM-900 Nexus (2,000 units).
Check out everyone’s favorite Pioneer effects master James Zabiela tearing it up on these limited editions below:
Obviously we’re fans (didn’t you see the chrome mirror tops on the Spectra?) but it’s certain to bring a bit of chagrin from DJs who already feel like their equipment gets smudged with every single use. Perhaps Pioneer should include a few extra microfiber cloths to encourage frequent polishing!
With Pioneer, price is always a factor – here’s the details from Pioneer’s full press release:
A system, which includes two CDJ-2000nexus-M and one DJM-900nexus-M, will be sold as a set with a suggested retail price of $8499, while the Platinum Edition RMX-1000-M will be offered separately with a suggested retail price of $1199.
In addition, included with each CDJ-2000nexus-M Platinum Edition will be one Pioneer premium digital cable (DAS-DGC020R) ($149 value).
At that price, smudging shouldn’t be an issue – you’ve probably got a butler to keep your gear nice and polished between every beatmatch!
