Straight out of New Zealand is a brand new Serato DJ public beta that brings DVS support for all the promised Scratch Live sound cards and devices that will unify the software under the Serato DJ name:
- Numark V7
- Rane SL2
- Rane SL3
- Rane SL4
- Rane Sixty-One
- Rane Sixty-Two
- Rane Sixty-Eight
- Pioneer CDJ-900 OSA support
Being a beta version, Serato is strongly cautioning DJs to not use the new beta to perform live – but the full thing is available to download in the forums on Serato.com. They’re also asking for help from Windows 8 + OS X Mavericks users to do a careful sweep for bugs that might be more prevalent on these fresh OS systems.
Also included in this update are a number of bug fixes, as well as a healthy selection of new features:
- Quantize Mode On/Off button added in main screen
- Quantize Value drop down menu added to Setup Screen > DJ Preferences
- Nameable Cue Points
- Maintain Sync on Track Load Setup option
- Stack View Mode
- Added Aux output channel for DJ-FX on Rane SL4
- Improved Cue Point and Loops Display area
- Open/Close crates from hardware
