Mixvibes’ Cross DJ software for iPad today joins the very limited ranks of iOS DJ software that allow for MIDI control, with a brand new update, version 1.4. While Mixvibes is shipping the software with a number of mappings for controllers that haven’t be previously mapped for iPad on any software, they’re keeping the mapping process itself locked down to just the mappings they choose. This means no mapping custom controllers or non-supported units.
That being said, Mixvibes seems to have targeted the beginner controller market in this update, providing mappings for all of the following:

- Mixvibes U Mix Control Pro 2
- Pioneer DDJWeGo
- Numark Mixtrack Pro
- Numark Mixtrack Pro 2
- Hercules DJ Console RMX 2
- Hercules DJ Control Instint
- Hercules DJ Control AIR
- Vestax Spin2
- Numark iDJ Live
Cross DJ is available in the app store for $9.99 currently $3.99, but MIDI control is a $10 in-app purchase to unlock it.
