NAMM 2013: Behringer CMD Series Controllers Shipping Now

After a long wait, we’re can finally confirm that the Behringer’s modular CMD series controllers arriving at their shipping date. As we heard this evening in a Behringer keynote event directly adjacent to the Anaheim Convention center, not only are the units shipping ASAP, they’re going to include a full version of Deckadance with every one of the controllers. Each of the controllers that we saw last year will be shipping, the CMD LC-1, MM-1, PL-1, DV-1, DC-1, and Studio 4A.

Need a video refresher on each of CMD controllers functions and layouts?

No, that’s not a typo above – Image Line’s Deckadance is back on the map after a lack of updates for many moons. Behringer indicated that there’s an update to the software coming along side the units that will be shipping – and that none of the units will be shipping with any type of “lite” or “LE” version of the software. Fancy!

Keep an eye on the DJTT Twitter tomorrow for updates on final pricing on the controller and hopefully a look at the new Deckadance updates!

“controllers arriving at their shipping date”… except we STILL don’t know when they’ll be released. Just says “coming soon” on Behringer’s site, and no word from them so far.

Also, they’ll come with Deckadance 2 LE; that was confirmed in the Deckadance 2 Alpha video from the Behringer booth at NAMM on YouTube.

About darn time! Now that I spent my money on something else because I got tired of waiting for these. Way to go Behringer. Now I can’t give you my money!

Hmm, maybe this boost of popularity could speed up the developement of FLStudio11…

Well, i’ll wait till some local Store have those quite interesting controlles in their showroom – my first Behringer Controller gave up his function after just 5 days….

Can we get some kind of build quality review on these? I’m sure a lot of people have been waiting for this to b released and reviewed. Personally not expecting much in build and component quality, although I’m hoping to b proven wrong.

I waited for this controller as well, for like a year^^ So meanwhile I bought the Allen and Heath Xone K2. It got way more Quality and even has got an high end 2 channel audio interface. Maybe that would be an idea for you as well. The only negative aspect for you could be the higher price or the absemt of the crossfader, but I anyhow wouldn’t expect to much of the behringer Crossfader 😉

      • Prof_Strangeman

Well I actually was going to go with a K2, but then I’d need a separate unit with a cross fader then, any suggestions?

this is truly what ive been looking for id use it for an ableton live setup instead of a traktor or vdj setup i think its along the same lines of the sation setups
